What Is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is an act of copying another person work without mention or give credit . plagiarism very popular among students because they want to finish their work faster or they give less effort on assignment and take a short way to finish it.But, they dont have any awareness about the consequences when lecture know they do plagiarism that will effect their future.

Avoiding Plagiarism

• Student need to credit all of sources that they get whenever put it in the text or in the reference list or bibliography
• For UiTM, APA( American Psychological Association) style that can be use by student to cite
• Paraphrase any information that you want to use by use own words without copy more than two words together
• Quoting when want to use like the exactly from the source and need to done correctly or it can be classified as plagiarism
• Referencing is including reference page of works cited at the end of assignment or research paper that must be done by APA style

Topic 6: Taking Lecture Notes(8/8/2018)

Taking Lecture Notes very IMPORTANT

As students, taking notes is must to do because for sure we will lose 80% after we hear and see without recall it refer from notes that we had taken. Taking notes allow us to make question more about how that happen to generate about understanding from a topic. It very useful especially when exam or test is just around the corner because we have got the important points that have been combine in the notes .Other benefits by taking notes are:

• To pay more attention in class and avoid us to feel sleepy
• To focus on the main point when study for exam,test or quiz
• Improve our memory to keep remember the topic
• we can get the real information from lecture that may not be the same as on internet
• we can train ourselves to be more active while listening and can catch up with every information faster
• all of the information can be well organize and classified according to the own topic
• we will read it repeatly until we can surely understand it because notes providess us with repetition

Effective Note Taking System

1. Cornell Note Method

Cornell notes method is three column that divided into notes,cue and summary.

        

         2. Two Column Method

This method require two column with left column for terms to define and questions to answer while right column is for notes about the terms and answers to the questions

          3. Outlining Method

Outlining is popular among students that like to writing because it require to seperate top topic to minor points and need to faster with many idea

         4. Mapping Method

For mapping, it can be done by many ways such as in form of bubble or tree and its very easy to edit with very popular among visual learning style students.

           5. Sentence Method

This method is a simple sentences that must not more than five words. Its include with only essential and important information  that have a completely cover a topic

Topic 5: Memory Learning & Improving Concentration(1/8/2018)

From this topic, we can learn how to use our brain wisely and make few effective ways to study. Memory really important for students because it will store important information especially when they needed in examination. Memory also can be use to always remember important moment in our life.

Understanding Memory Processess

From this learning pyramid, we can conclude that we can remember only 10% with what we only reading from source like book or slide. we also can get 50% when we see something and hear with how it doing. we can remember 75% when we actually did something with our own such as experiments and lasty for 90% when we teach people how to do something because it will keep remind us how to do it as long as we use that knowledge that will last long.

Memory Strategies

Memory strategies are few ways to help students know and remember with what they are doing. Different students have different ways of strategies according to their capability to do it. Students need to be active learner to enchance their potential of memory learning.

1. Always writing by own notes or own understanding because it help to remember while thinking
2. Find as many as possible ways to solve any problem
3. Relate with what that we have learn with what had actually it happen in our life
4. feel curious about anything and it will always be in our mind
5. Always make question with any topic to have fully understanding and can use to help other peers
6. Teach our peers when we have fully understanding on any topic to help always recall for it
7. sketch something that make changes to see the differences and relates to our life
8. Always do self assessment to help ensure understand with the main concept and important topic
9. compare notes to our peers and discuss additional important information and changing idea 
10. Avoid distraction such as from phone especially to have peaceful environment that suitable for studying

Understanding Concentration

Concentration is one of the main part that can help we to remember with what we study. more we focus will make us more understand about topic that have been learn especially in class. it because focus help our brain to open and help many information enter or store in it. concentration is something that hard to get because it need our full comitment to successful use it. we easily lose our concentration when we get distracted with something else

Improving Concentration

1. Avoid something distracted especially from sound such as our phone by change it to silent mode and put it away from out study place
2. organized our study place also our bed to have a clean environment to help ourself comfort to study and ready for full focus
3. Go to somewhere else that away from many people make noise such as library that have section that illegal to make any sound
4. make a list-to-do in order to make your work more organized.
5. you can listen to music that help you to study and the best for focusing 
6. various your pens with many colours that can help us to study the important point and make us feel happy to study with colourful notes

SQ3R

This tips are for student to be an effective reader

• Survey from text that have been read and try to find the main structure of the topic
• Query to ourselves for generating more understanding and may be expert about the topic
• Read or scan all of the text and try to understand it
• Recall the query that have been listed to get the point from the text
• Review the text again slowly and remember the idea of what important information

Uitm kampus Jengka known as "Kampus Khazanah Alam' is surround with green nature that make this campus scenery such we are in the forest. Furthermore, this campus also have planting industry management course that make this campus also have own plantation.However, high and new technology also make this campus special especially with Al-Bukhari library that one of the newest building in this that use modern library system.

Planting Industry Management Unit

This Unit very important for me as i am DPIM student because it will provide with everthing that DPIM students need to use when plant something such as hoe,fertilizer and more.This unit also will train all DPIM students enrich with planting knowledge that they can instill for their future project and produce successful planter.

Ice Breaking(25/7/2018)

Activity 1

First of all, students were had been told to make a group and lecturer gave an order to get to know each other between students. Some of the task were ask for other students phone number, favourite drinks and where they from. It important to make friends especially in the same course and easily can help each other when needed

Activity 2

Then, students were told by lecturer make an own paper plane and write name with two characteristics on the paper plane. Then, students threw their paper plane to other random other students and need to take picture with the one that owner of the paper plane

Activity 3

For The last activity for this week, students are require to follow their group to finish a task that has limit of time which is take weefie with specific staff in UiTM. This activity show that time is important take and show respect to all people

   

Topic 3: Time Management(25/7/2018)

Why Time Management Important?

Time is the most valuable thing in the world because time cannot repeat itself. Some people say that time as money but for me it even more than gold because it cannot be replace. As students, management of time is require because it will make work for day and week run smoothly. With the right management also students can finish any assignment within the deadline.

Strategies for organising study time

⇒Students must make weekly schedule for every semester in order to manage time with recreational, study and do assignment

⇒Daily planner is important for every hour because it must be fill by doing task that needed for students study especially

⇒Students need to know their semester calender to keep in view all activities that need to do or not throughout every semester

⇒Students must balance between academic and personal life by spend  effectively on study time and daily routine such as sleep or doing activities

Optimising study time

⇒Takes notes while studying can help students remember more what they had learnt or studied and can apply when learning session

⇒Sleep is one of important need for human because it keep human brain always refresh when get enough sleep so students need to keep aware with thier sleep time to make brain always ready to learn

⇒when there is freetime such as during recess or in bus,students must take advantage with take a little time to improve their knowledge and study important information

⇒pay a full attention during class also help to understand more during study because students get to know with important point that needed to instill for test or assignment

How to manage time effectively while studying and working

⇒Students need to know their prioritise especially involve with education such as assignment and do some checklist

⇒Every task have specific deadline so students need to set target to accomplish their work within the deadline 

⇒Any source like gadgets mostly need to get rid because it will cause distraction when students studying because it will make them does not focus while study

⇒When do some reseach or reference, students need to surf and use technology such as google to its fullest because it also help to enrich knowledge and help in study

⇒Friends are one of the most important part to make some hard work more easy and  students must ask help to each other when have problem and in needed

⇒Time management system also can improve time to be more efficient and balance between education and recreational

Reducing Procrastination

Undeniably that procrastination is one of the main problem students face when to do some work. it mainly cause because of laziness that students doesnt take seriously with work that they need to complete.Then, a lot of excuses will appear when the work did not complete within the deadline that  can be reason of failure to get what want to achieve. So, procrastination need to avoid in order to get goals that have been set
